How to change staff hours on the calendar

There are several ways you can change the working hours for a staff member, or yourself. In this article we have outlined three ways.

Staff hours can be changed on the fly directly from the calendar.  Staff will need to have full access to the Roster or at least access to update their own hours.

From here you can toggle a staff member as working/not working, as well as update the staff member's Start and End time for that day, and any regularly scheduled Breaks.

If you are in the Week view for a single staff member, click the clock icon next to the day:

In All staff view on a specific day, click the clock icon next to the staff member's name:

Roster a staff member off or on

  1. From the Calendar select the staff member whose hours you wish to edit.
  2. Go to the desired day and click the clock icon next to the date
  3. Toggle the staff member as Working or Not working

  4. Click Save to apply your changes. 

The change in hours will automatically update in the roster. As this differs from the staff member's normal working hours, this will be shown as a modified date (in orange).

Adjust their working hours

  1. From the Calendar select the staff member whose hours you wish to edit.
  2. Go to the desired day and click the clock icon next to the date
  3. Use the fields provided to update their Start and End times: 

  4. Click Save to apply your changes. 

The change in hours will automatically update in the roster. As this differs from the staff member's normal working hours, this will be shown as a modified date (in orange).

Adjust their breaks

  1. Go to the desired day in the Calendar.
  2. Click the clock icon next to the date/staff member:
  3. If there is a break scheduled, you can adjust the time or remove it completely: 

  4. Click Save to apply your changes. 

If there isn't a break added for the staff member already, then you will need to add one under Setup > Staff > > Edit > Normal working hours.
