Connect Afterpay to Timely

Afterpay is a payment service that allows clients to pay for retail products, services and packages, both online and in store. The business immediately receives the payment in full, while the client pays off their balance over four fortnightly instalments.

Afterpay is currently only supported in New Zealand and Australia.


Create a merchant account at Afterpay

Before you can take payments via Afterpay, you will need to sign up for a merchant account with Afterpay.  There is a vetting process with a number of required steps, which Afterpay will take you through:

  1. Register your interest in being a merchant with Afterpay:
    1. In Australia: https://www.afterpay.com/en-AU/merchant-enquiry
    2. In New Zealand: https://www.afterpay.com/en-NZ/merchant-enquiry
  2. You will then be required to complete a "Know your Customers" form.
  3. Nominate a bank account for your merchant settlements to be paid into.

Then Afterpay will inform you once the account is all set up and we will connect your Timely account to your new Afterpay account for you.
