Before you start, make sure that you have a Facebook business page and a Instagram Business account. You're not able to set this up if you only have a personal Facebook page or have an Instagram Creator account. The steps below are the same if you only have a Facebook or Instagram account, below we'll show you how to set it up if you have both.
Step-by-step instructions
1 Go to Set Up and select Social Media.
2 Click Activate social booking buttons.
3 You'll be taken to Facebook. Here you can login to your personal facebook account and click Continue.
4 This screen explains the benefits of connecting Timely to Facebook. Read these if you like, then click Next.
5 This is where you'll see the Facebook business page and Instagram profile that's linked with your personal Facebook account. You can click the arrow to change these. If you're happy, click Continue.
6 You'll see an explanation of what Timely needs to do to make the booking buttons work. Click Next.
7 It's worked! Click Done.
8 You'll be redirected back to Timely, where you'll see that both accounts are now active.
Test the booking buttons
1 Go to your Facebook business page. You'll now see a 'Book Now' button, which clients can use to book directly online.
2 Go to your Instagram profile. You'll now see a 'Book Now' button, which clients can use to book directly online.
Good to know
Make sure you have access to 'Manage page' for both the Facebook and Instagram accounts.
You can setup online bookings in Facebook Messenger too.
If you're having trouble with your Facebook or Instagram accounts, you'll need to go to Meta for support.
