In this guide, you will learn how to integrate Timely with your Google Contacts. This will allow you to import your contacts in bulk upon set up, sync all of your clients in Timely across to Google, and automatically sync any changes to clients in Timely to your Google Contacts. This integration will not sync any new contacts over to Timely.

How to connect Google Contacts to Timely

Head to setup from the main menu in your Timely account dashboard, and click on integrations (formerly add-ons).

Click activate next to Google Contacts customer sync integration, then press the setup Google Contacts button.

If you have multiple Google accounts you'll be asked to choose which account to use. The first time you try this, Google will ask to authorise Timely to access your Google Contact data. Click allow to continue.

You will then be returned to the setup page and shown that the Google Contacts connection has been activated.
How to choose which Google Contact lists to sync to Timely

Start by clicking the edit settings button.

Select which default group you would like your Timely clients to sync to. Once this is selected, this is the group that will be used to import/export contacts to.

Decide if you would like to synchronise customer deletions to Google Contacts? this will automatically delete a contact if they have been removed in Timely.

When you are ready, click save to update.
5 Then click import customers to add your Timely customers as Google Contacts. It may take a little while to import all your customers.
Timely note: the integration is currently one-way which means that changes made to clients or new clients added to Google Contacts will not be updated in Timely. Client notes are not synced to Google at this time.
