TimelyPay meets the highest global standard of safety and security for payment processing and card data storage being powered by Stripe. However, if Stripe is experiencing an outage, you won’t be able to take payments via TimelyPay until Stripe has recovered their service. If that happens, what should you do and what are your alternatives for checking your customers out?
All my TimelyPay features are not available
- If your Timely instance is up and running, but both TimelyPay terminal and online payments are not available, it might be a Stripe issue. You may want to check Stripe's status to confirm. We would also update our Timely status page and our social media.
-
While TimelyPay is not available, you still can take a payment via one of the following payment methods:
- Cash.
- Bank transfer if you accept that.
- Request payment online. Your customer will get an email to enable them to pay the invoice later once TimelyPay has recovered.
My TimelyPay terminal is out
- If you cannot collect payments using your TimelyPay terminal, you will first need to confirm what is causing the outage in order to take appropriate action. If you are not able to navigate to other webpages, it is likely that your network is down. In this case, you should contact your network administrator to resolve the outage.
- If you are able to continue using Timely and TimelyPay online payments, it might be a Stripe issue specific to terminals. You may want to check Stripe's status to confirm. We would also update our Timely status page and our social media.
