Discounts are a great way to entice new clients to book in with your business, while also encouraging repeat bookings from existing clients who know and love your work. These will be salon-facing only, and won't be directly visible to your clients until you share them via your marketing campaigns. In this article you will learn how to report on discounts, so you can track the impact they are having on your business.
Timely tip: when offering discounts, it is important to track their effectiveness by reviewing the reports in your Timely account. Make sure every client is booked into your Timely calendar - as this ensures your reports are accurate and provide a complete picture of your discount performance.
How to report on discounts
Step-by-step instructions
1
To start viewing discount-related insights, head to the reports tab in your Timely account. There, you'll find several useful reports, including the executive summary, monthly summary, customer spend sales report, and service sales report - all of which can help you understand how your discounts are performing.
2
For example, in the executive summary, you can select the time period you’d like to review, then click view report to see a breakdown - including any discounts applied during that time.
3
You will also see a column showing the total discounts given during the selected time period by staff member. Most reports also allow you to filter by date range and location, so you can tailor the data to your specific needs.
