Lift your revenue by offering the perfect add-on combinations during the online booking flow. Add-ons make it easy to increase booking value and remove manual work - helping you fill your calendar efficiently while giving clients a more personalised experience.
Add-ons in Timely allow you to present optional, complementary services to clients as they move through the online booking journey. This supports natural upselling and ensures your team’s time is used to its fullest potential.
The first version of this feature supports time-based service add-ons only, using items already in your services menu. Product add-ons and non–time-based service add-ons are not yet supported, but we are aware of these opportunities for the future.
How to set up add-ons
Please ensure the following are enabled or configured before setting up add-ons:
- You offer online bookings
- You allow multiple services in an appointment is enabled (setup > online bookings > settings)
- All add-on options you want to offer exist in your services menu
How to Configure Add-ons
- Open the dropdown
- Select the service you would like to offer as an add-on
- Click the add service button
- Add all relevant upsell options
- Then repeat the process for every add-on you wish to offer (up to 10 per service)
Timely note: add-ons are configured per service, so repeat this for any service where you want clients to see recommended add-ons.
How add-ons work for your clients
- The selected service has add-ons configured
- Those add-ons are not already in the booking itself
Timely note: all selected items: primary services + add-ons, will appear in your calendar as part of a single multi-service booking.

- Does Add-ons work for in-store bookings?
Not at this stage, add-ons currently work only for online bookings.
- Can I offer product or zero-duration add-ons?
Version 1 supports time-based service add-ons only.
- Why aren’t add-ons appearing for clients? Check that:
- You allow multiple services in an appointment is turned on
- Online bookings are enabled
- Add-on services exist in your services menu
- You have added add-ons to that specific primary service
- How many add-ons can I link to a service?
Up to 10 add-ons per service.
- What if the client selects multiple services before reaching the add-ons screen?
Add-ons are shown only for the first service selected during the initial flow.
- Will clients see multiple add-on recommendation screens?
Nope. Clients see one round of add-on recommendations only.
