In this guide you will find an overview of how to establish multiple locations in your Timely account. Once you have multiple locations, staff members can be rostered for specific hours at said locations of your choosing.
Timely note: They will have a separate calendar at each location, be rest assured, we’ll automatically ensure they cannot be double booked across all working locations. This means you can add a booking, busy time, or break - at one location, and while this will be visible across all locations; clients are unable to book these timings. You can manually double book an appointment by adding a booking to the calendar, you will receive an alert which you can ignore and the booking can be saved.
To get started, you will need to do the following:
Add another location to your account
1 Head to setup > locations in your account
2 Click add locations
3 Determine the location name and if you would like this location to be fixed or mobile.
4 Complete address details if applicable.
5 To make it bookable online, check the box next to customers can book this location.
Timely note: If you have multiple staff, you can set hours for the location. These don't affect the availability online, but will be displayed on your Timely mini website.
Roster staff at the new location
To roster staff at new locations, follow the steps below:
1 Head to setup > staff
2 Click the edit button next to a staff members name
3 Scroll down to the normal working hours section
5 Click save and apply!
Now you can head back to your calendar and select that location from the list!
Timely notes:
- If the location you are searching for is not appearing in the list of available locations, this means that no staff members have been assigned hours for this location.
- If you have multiple locations, they will be listed on the top of each section. Otherwise, you will be able to switch between locations to view their hours specific to each unique location.
View locations in your calendar
Once you have more than one location, you will be able to switch between these in your calendar. If a staff member is rostered on at two locations, they will have a separate calendar for each location. Don't worry, we'll automatically make sure they can't be double-booked between locations.
Reorder locations to your preference
The default ordering for locations is based on the order they were added to your account. For example, the first location you add - will show first in the list. Reordering locations to your personal preference is easy, all you need to do is: click, drag, and drop. If you have online booking enabled, the order you choose in your settings will flow through to online booking.
