If you need to refund a client's deposit, you can do that easily through the client's record.
How did you take the deposit?
- TimelyPay: Follow the steps below and the refund is paid back into the client's account
- Cash: Follow the steps below then refund the cash in-person
- Windcave, PayPal, Stripe: Follow the steps below, then go through your payment provider's refund process to refund their credit card
- Internet banking: Follow the steps below, then ask for their account number to refund the amount back through online banking.
Step-by-step instructions
1a Click on the appointment in your calendar and click the client's name.
1b Or click the client's name in the sidebar.
2 In the client's profile, click the Credit tab.
3 Click on Edit next to the deposit you want to refund.
4 Go to Options and select Refund the deposit.
5 You issue a partial refund by adjusting the amount here.
6 After making the necessary changes, click Save.
7 Choose the refund method.
8 Enter the refund date and who processed the refund, then click on Refund payment.
9 Click 'close' to exit the pop-up.
10 Return to the credit screen to confirm that the deposit has been refunded.
12 Finally, how you give the client their cash back depends on how you took the deposit.
