Step-by-step instructions

1 You will know the terminal is on and ready when you see the Timely logo on its screen.

2 On your iOS device, click the client's appointment in the calendar and then select checkout.

3 Check the services are right, and add any extras to your client's invoice, and then click checkout again.

4 Your terminal will appear as a payment option. Select take card payment, and confirm the total is correct, then click process payment.

Timely tip: you can alter the amount to charge the client in the amount box at the top of the screen. This is perfect for those times that you need to do a split / partial payment across multiple cards or payment types. 5 Now use the card reader to take the payment from your client. A green tick will appear on the terminal when the payment has been accepted.

6 On the Timely iOS app, click done. Once you see the sale complete screen, you can then select the email receipt button if you wish to send the client a copy of the receipt or close the sale by selecting done.
