In this guide, you will learn how to set up tipping on your terminal via the Timely iOS app. Tipping is a common practice in particular regions, such as the United States. However, at the moment if you do not have a TimelyPay/T2P terminal there is not a purpose-built solution for managing client tips. We do however, have a suggested workaround available using our products feature. You can find out more in our help guide How to manage tips in Timely (workaround).
How to enable tipping on your terminal via the Timely iOS app
To start taking tips on your terminal, you will need to turn on tipping in your settings page before you can start taking tips on your terminal. To do this:

Open the Timely app on your iOS device, and login (if required).

Go to your settings > account settings, and click the menu button on the top left hand corner.

Find TimelyPay and scroll down to tip settings.

Click to select the enable tipping on in-person payments checkbox. To disable tipping, simply de-select the enable tipping on in-person payments checkbox.
