If you’re taking online bookings from your website, it is useful to be notified when appointment bookings are submitted by your clients. With Timely, you can have a separate email address and/or SMS number that is sent a notification when an online booking is made. This works for both instant and on-request bookings, and is a great way to keep the administrative side of your business running smoothly. In this article, you will learn how to get notified when new online bookings are made.
Timely note: using staff SMS notifications will be taken from your monthly SMS allowance.
How to get notified of new online bookings

Head to setup from the main menu in your Timely account dashboard, and click on staff notifications from the list of options.

Locate the online bookings section, and check the box next to send an email notification to/Send an SMS notification to.

Then enter the email address and/or SMS number that you would like your notification sent to.
How to send a notification to the specific staff member booked
You can also send a notification to the staff member who has been booked. To do this:

Underneath the when an online booking is placed section, there is an option and/or notify the staff member booked. Check the box next to this, and when you are ready, click save to apply your changes.
