IMPORTANT:
Shopify integration with Timely was originally removed for all new customers from July 5th 2024.
From the 1st of April 2025 the integration between Timely and Shopify will be discontinued. This means that all current customers using this will no longer have any data syncing between the two.
Overview
Starting July 5, 2024, our Shopify integration will move to legacy support. This change means that new customers won't be able to find or set up the Shopify integration, but existing customers will keep all their current functionality without any disruptions. This guide explains what this means for current and new customers, how to manage the integration, and where to find additional support.
Why the Change?
Shopify has introduced new requirements for their app store listings that would require significant investments from our team and take us away from our planned roadmap. To stay focused on initiatives that benefit all our customers, we’re limiting the Shopify integration to existing customers and moving the integration to legacy support.
Impact on Users
For existing users:
- If you have your Shopify toggled ON: You can keep using the Shopify integration just like before. Make sure you don’t turn it off, because after July 5, 2024, you won’t be able to turn it back on. If turned off, your Shopify data will no longer sync with Timely.
- If you have your Shopify toggled OFF: If you want to keep using Shopify with Timely, please toggle it ON before July 5, 2024. After July 5, 2024, if your toggle is OFF, we will remove Shopify from your account. It cannot be re-enabled and your Shopify data will no longer sync with Timely.
- No Disruption: Your current setup will remain functional and supported. All features, including product syncing and invoice management, will continue to work as before.
- Support: Our support team is here to help with any issues or questions related to the integration. Please contact our support team for help with troubleshooting.
For new users:
- No New Integrations: From July 5, 2024, Shopify will be removed from the Add-ons page, and new customers won’t be able to integrate Shopify with Timely.
Managing Your Shopify Integration
Turning Off the Integration
If you decide to stop using the Shopify integration:
- Navigate to: Setup > Add-Ons > scroll to “Shopify” > Configure
- Toggle Off: Switch the integration toggle to “Off.”
- Confirmation: A prompt will let you know that this action is permanent and can’t be reversed. Confirm your decision to disable the integration.
Note: Once turned off, the integration cannot be re-enabled. Your Shopify data will no longer sync with Timely.
Keeping the Integration Active
If your Shopify integration is currently active (toggle ON) and you want to keep it, you don’t need to do anything. Your integration will continue to work as usual. Make sure your Timely and Shopify accounts are in sync to avoid potential issues.
Troubleshooting
If you need to temporarily disable and re-enable Shopify, please reach out to our support team for assistance. After July 4th, you will no longer have the ability to toggle Shopify back on by yourself.
