IMPORTANT:
Shopify integration with Timely was originally removed for all new customers from July 5th 2024.
From the 1st of April 2025 the integration between Timely and Shopify will be discontinued. This means that all current customers using this will no longer have any data syncing between the two.
Our Shopify integration lets you connect Timely with Shopify and have stock quantities accurate.
These are some of the most common questions we are asked or errors we see with the Shopify integration.
If your question isn't covered here, get in touch with us:
- My Timely product doesn't exist in Shopify
- My Timely product doesn't exist in a Shopify location

If you have an error saying that your Timely product is linked to a Shopify product that doesn't exist then follow these steps to resolve that error.
- Head to Setup > Products from the main menu.
- Click Edit next to the product that's not existing in Shopify.
- Scroll down to stock control and untick 'Allow product to be sold online via Shopify'.
- Click Save.
- Head back to the Shopify dashboard under Add-ons.

My Timely product doesn't exist in a Shopify location
If you have an error saying that your Timely product is linked to a Shopify location that doesn't exist then follow these steps to resolve that error. This error has probably happened because the Shopify location has been deleted or deactivated.
- Open your Shopify account.
- Head to Settings > Locations.
- Click Show 1 deactivated location and click the deactivated location.
- At the bottom of the page click Activate location.
- Head back to the Shopify dashboard under Add-ons.
- Click Retry next to the error.
My Shopify product isn't in Timely
If you have an error saying that your Shopify product doesn't exist in Timely, this is caused by creating a product in Shopify after integrating with Timely.
With the Timely and Shopify integration, any new products that you need to add must be created in Timely first. Once created in Timely, they'll sync across to Shopify. Check out this guide on adding a new product into Timely.
My Shopify location isn't recognised in Timely
If you have an error saying that your order is fulfilled from a location that is not linked to Timely, it means that a customer purchased a product and it was fulfilled from a Shopify location that isn't in Timely or hasn't yet been linked in Timely.
To resolve this error, manually reassign the order in Shopify to a location linked to Timely.
Multi-location fulfillment order hasn't synced to Timely
If you have an error saying that your order requires a single location for the supply of products in Timely, then the order will need to be reassigned to come from one location that is connected with Timely. The reason for this is that Timely doesn't yet support multi-location fulfillment orders. What this means is that if your customer's order has to be fulfilled from more than one Shopify location, we're unable to sync that order into Timely.
If you require the order to be synced to Timely, you'll need to manually reassign the order in Shopify to the linked location.
