Timely can turn invoices into PDF format by default, enabling you to print and email these as you wish. However, if you would also like to print receipts for your clients, you can do so through connecting a thermal receipt printer to Timely. In this article, you will learn how to test the settings for your receipt printer - to ensure you have set everything up correctly!
How to test the settings for your receipt printer
1
Start by choosing a booking in your calendar that has a paid invoice, then click on the appointment.
2
Click view invoice > print at the bottom of the invoice.
3
This will open the print screen where you'll see a preview of the receipt. Check the destination is your thermal printer, and then click more settings.
4
Change the paper size to what your printer recommends for receipt printing.
5
Uncheck the boxes for headers, footers and background graphics.
6
Then select print to test the printer is working properly. You shouldn't need to do these steps every time you print. You can instead check the preview box to make sure it is still set up right.
