The client paid a deposit & redeemed this on the invoice, is the tip percentage based on the total?
The tip will be calculated on the total service cost. Any deposits that have been pre-paid will be taken into account. For example, if your client paid a $25 deposit on a $125 service, the tip would be calculated based on the total service cost (e.g. $25 + $100). A 10% tip on a $125 total service cost would be $12.50.

I have an Android phone. Can I use Tap to Pay and start taking tips?
Tap to Pay is on Android for customers in Australia, UK, and New Zealand. Tipping is currently not supported on Tap to Pay on Android.

Can I split tips between staff and automatically distribute them between staff?
No. However, you can use the monthly summary report to determine how much in tips each staff member has earned, and will need to pay them out directly. To access this report, go to reports, and under business performance, click monthly summary. From here, you can see the tip earned per staff by using the staff filter, and clicking view report.

Can I set tipping settings per location or staff member?
No, the tipping pre-sets will be reflected across all locations if you have more than one salon and across all staff if you have staff members.

Is there a way to take tips with online payments?
No, tips can only be collected via Tap to Pay on iPhone in the checkout flow.

You are able to add surcharges onto the service, but there is no surcharge applied to the tip component.
