We at Timely take high priority in creating a secure platform to protect your business information and data. In addition to your business email and password, the set up for two-factor authentication or ‘2FA’ creates an extra security layer that helps protect your Timely account.
In this article you will learn how to:
- View your accounts 2FA settings
- The 'grace period'
- Change your trusted 2FA mobile number
- Change your 2FA recovery email
View your accounts 2FA settings
1Once you've successfully set up and enabled Two Factor Authentication, you will gain access to the full setup page. Go to your Account settings and then select Staff Access.

2From there, you'll need to select the Manage button under Two Factor Authentication.

3Here, you'll be able to see a summary of your Two Factor Authentication details.
The 'grace period'
You'll also be able to see a summary of your staff's verification statuses. Staff members will have a two week grace period to complete their 2FA setup when they log into Timely. If the 2FA setup is not completed within this time frame in their next login session, the staff member will be required to set up their 2FA before they can access their timely account.
Changing your trusted 2FA mobile number
To change a 2FA mobile number, staff with admin access will need to reset 2FA on the Staff access page. The reset will automatically log them out of Timely. It is recommended they log back in immediately.
You cannot edit this number anywhere else in Timely.

Change your 2FA recovery email
If the existing recovery email is no longer valid for your business, you can edit and replace the existing nominated recovery email with a new email. Please ensure the newly nominated email is not associated with your Timely account.
