Think of your Google Business Profile as your salon's shopfront. It is the first place most potential clients look, and it often helps them to decide if they will book with your business, or go to the salon down the street. In this guide, you will learn how to set up your Google Business Profile.
Reputation and visibility are everything in the salon industry, and a great Google Business Profile is absolutely essential for getting more clients in the door. Once you have set up your profile, you will want to optimise it for better discoverability. When you are ready to do this, see our help guide How to optimise your Google Business Profile for more information.
Step-by-step instructions
1
Go to Google Business Profile Manager and click start now.
2
Sign in with your Google account or create one if needed. You can now add your business name, address, and phone number; please make sure these match what is in Timely!
3
Next, choose your business category (e.g. Hair, Nails, Beauty Therapy etc).
4
Then, add your website or Timely booking link and set your opening hours.
5
Upload photos of your space, staff, or services - because businesses with high quality photos get more clicks, that then turn into new clients.
6
Lastly, verify your business when prompted - Google may send you a postcard, email, or text.
