Our brand new Activity log provides you with a log of activities performed by your staff in Timely. We capture activity and present it to you as a time-stamped log, to make it simple to rectify mistakes or other issues that might crop up.
You may like to have a conversation with your staff about the activity log, to make sure they are informed that their activity in Timely will be tracked.
In this guide we'll cover:
Viewing the activity log
- To view the Activity log, you'll need to be an account owner. Head to Account > Staff access, and click the View activity button next to a staff member.
- Once you're on the Activity log page, choose how you'd like the log to be filtered. You can filter by Account (you can only choose one staff member/administrator at a time), Date (currently just one day at a time), Area (e.g. Customers, Sales, Bookings), and Action (e.g. Create, Edit, Delete).
- When you're ready, click View to view the activity that matches your selected filters.
- When viewing a staff member's activity, you can interact with specific things, such as customer edits, appointments added etc.

Things to note about the activity log
There are a few important things to know:
Information is not updated immediately
The activity log will update roughly every 1.5 hours. This means that you won't be able to view an activity directly after it has occurred. We'd love to hear your feedback around how often the log should refresh!
The activity log is only viewable to account owners
As this feature is accessed from the Account > Staff access page, it's currently only visible to account owners. If you'd like to allow access the activity log for more staff/managers, let us know!
