Invoicing is an important part of running a business, whether this occurs in advance of an appointment to ensure revenue protection or for your client to pay later on when they are out of the salon. With Timely, you can create invoices for appointments, classes, products and packages. Once an invoice is raised in Timely, then a full or partial payment can be applied. In this article, you will learn how to view unpaid invoices and apply payments to them.

How to view an unpaid invoice on your iPhone/iPad

To start, click on the appointment in the calendar.

If an invoice has been raised, you will see the invoice number listed and an unpaid status.

Click on the invoice number to view the sale summary, this will show you the total as well as the unpaid amount.
How to apply a payment to an invoice on your iPhone/iPad

From the sales summary screen, click open sale to open the sales tab.

This will load the invoice items in the panel on the right. Click pay at the bottom to apply a payment to the invoice.

You can change the payment amount (if required), and choose the payment type from the list available.

When you are ready, click save to complete the payment. You'll be shown a summary of the sale and any payments.
