Important Notice: The Timely - Vend integration will be discontinued effective 5th September 2024. From this date onwards, all current users will no longer be able to sync data or access the Vend checkout in Timely. This change is due to Vend (now Lightspeed) deprecating APIs used by partners to integrate with their checkout.
What does this mean for you?
You might have already noticed some changes in your experience when using the Vend checkout to close services, such as:
- Sale getting parked in Vend
- Products added to the sale in Vend checkout not getting added to the invoice in Timely
On 5th September, the integration will automatically disconnect for all current users.
- It will no longer be an option available in the Setup > Add-ons section.
- You will no longer be able to access Vend from within Timely and will instead be redirected to the Timely checkout to close your sales and generate invoices.
- No data will sync between Timely and Vend once the integration is disconnected.
However, all past data synced between Timely and Vend until the point of disconnection will remain available. This includes invoices, taxes, clients, and services.
What should you do next?
1. Import your Vend product list to Timely and start using Timely checkout
This will give you the chance to explore the Timely checkout as an alternative and perform any necessary data migration, including updating your latest product list which does not sync with Timely through the integration. Only your product list needs to be manually updated, all other data will be synced automatically.

2. Disconnect the integration
To disconnect the integration, please follow the steps below.
Steps to Disconnect the Integration:
- Log in to your Timely account.
- Navigate to the Setup > Add-ons section.
- Find the Vend integration and follow the steps below to disconnect.
- Click on ‘Configure’
- Click on ‘Edit settings’
- Click on ‘Disconnect’
This will remove all links between Timely and Vend and the Vend add-on will no longer be available as an add-on.
If you do nothing, we will automatically disconnect your Vend integration on 5th September.
