How to update the processing time of existing bookings

Processing time creates a free space or gap after a service, which allows the staff member to see another client. This can only be added to the end of a service. In this guide, you will learn how to update the processing time of existing bookings.

When you update the settings of a service (including adding or adjusting processing time) it will only apply to any new appointments added to the calendar. You can manually update existing bookings so that they use the new settings. To do this:

1 Click edit on the appointment. The booking will be using the original service settings.

2 Select another service in the service 1 list, and then re-select the original service from the list.

3 When you are ready, click save to update the appointment to the new settings.

Timely tip: if you regularly perform multiple services together, these multi-service appointments may have different requirements when it comes to padding/processing time. You can adjust those requirements for those particular appointments, using our service groups feature.
