How to set up service groups

Creating services is one of the most important tasks to complete when setting up your Timely account. Having an organised service menu helps your clients have a seamless booking experience, and helps orient your staff. Once your services are set up, clients can book these online, or your staff can book them right there and then, in-salon!

If you frequently find clients booking multiple services, you may want to create service groups as a more seamless booking experience; that also enables you to include padding and/or processing time between them. In this guide, you will learn how to set up service groups for your business.

1 Head to setup from the main menu in your Timely account dashboard, and click services.

2 Click the add to service group button. Then fill out the details about your service group, including the name, category and description.

3 If you'd like customers to be able to book this service group online, check the box next to customers can book this service group online.

4 Next select a service from the drop-down menu, and click include service to add it to the group.

5 Change the duration, price and add padding and/or processing time where needed.

6 Repeat this step until you’ve added all your services. Then click save to add your service group. Once you've added a service group, this will show alongside your regular services under the category you chose on the services page.
