Important Note: The Shopify integration with Timely was sunset from the 1st of April, 2025. This means that all customers using this integration will no longer have data syncing between the two platforms.
Adding a new Timely product in Shopify
1 Head to Setup > Products from the main menu.2 Click the green New product and select New retail product.
3 Go through and enter details of your product, for example, enter a product Name, SKU/Handle (a unique identifier e.g. a barcode), and a Description.
4 Scroll down to the Stock control section and check the Allow products to be sold online via Shopify check box.
5 Now you're ready to click Save.
6 You will now be able to see your new Timely product in your Shopify store.
7 Add more details to your product listing and then set your product status to Active and check Online store under Sales channels and apps to have the product appear on your online store.
My Timely product doesn't exist in Shopify
If you have an error saying that your Timely product is linked to a Shopify product that doesn't exist then the following steps will help you in solving this error:
2 Click Edit next to the product within Shopify.
3 Scroll down to stock control and uncheck Allow product to be sold online via Shopify.
4 Click Save.
5 Head back to the Shopify dashboard under Add ons.
6 Click Retry next to the error.
My Timely product doesn't exist in a Shopify location
If you have an error saying that your Timely product is linked to a Shopify location that doesn't exist, then you can follow the steps below to resolve this. This error has likely occurred because the Shopify location has been deleted or deactivated.
1 Open your Shopify account.
2 Head to Settings > Locations.
3 Click Show 1 deactivated location and click the deactivated location.
4 Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Activate location.
5 Head back to the Shopify dashboard under Add ons.
6 Click Retry next to the error.
