Sometimes you may need to update your appointments, this could be that another member of staff performed one of the services, or that the price is different to the one showing. You can now do this via the sale page. In this guide we will cover how to:

Updating the staff member
- First select the appointment and click checkout.
- Next click on the appointment that you need to change on the left hand side
- From the edit screen you can change the description, price, staff member or add a discount.
- To change the staff member click on the staff members name and select a new staff member from the list and click save

This will update the staff name in the sale

When you are ready to process the payment click checkout and apply the payment method

This will then update the staff member on the calendar too, as you can see here
Updating the price
There are two ways you can edit the price of a service.
- Option 1 - click on the appointment and click edit. From this screen you can change the price of each service.
- Option 2 - with the new sales page you can edit the service price and it will also change it on the calendar. To start click on the appointment and click checkout
- Click on the appointment on the left hand side to bring up the edit screen
- To change the price, click on the amount in the box, add the amount it needs to be and click save

When you are ready to process the payment click checkout and apply the payment method

This will then update the price on the calendar too, as you can see here:
Editing existing sales
If you've already raised a sale, but need to make a change or addition, then you can edit the sale. If you are making changes to a sale, it is best practice to make sure the customer has a copy of the final/updated sale. With the new sales flow there are some sales that cannot currently be edited or changed.
Not editable
- Sales with AfterPay or LayBuy payments
- Sales that have a refunds
Deletion and addition rules
You cannot delete any:
- AfterPay or LayBuy payments
- TimelyPay payments
- Terminal payments
You also cannot delete any payments if there is already an AfterPay or LayBuy payment on the sale
Additional Information: if you have staff, make sure they have permission under staff access to be able to delete payments if you want them to be able to do this
You cannot add any payments to:
- A sale that is already paid
- A sale that has already has AfterPay and LayBuy payments applied to it
Editing rules for specific sections
For deposit, credit, gift voucher sales:
- Only the staff member field is editable.
- The whole item can be deleted off the sale. Note: this doesn’t delete the linked credit/deposit/voucher, it just means it will end up being unpaid
- If there is a line item discount attached, it can be edited or removed.
Deposit, credit, voucher redemptions are fully editable except for the quantity.
General sales editing rules:
- Descriptions can only be edited on booking and walk-in services
- Staff can be edited for all options
- Quantity can’t be edited on bookings
- Price can’t be edited on deposits, credits, vouchers
- Sales that have non-line item discounts cannot be opened using the new flow.
