Our revamped calendar is designed to make your scheduling smoother, faster, and more intuitive. Managing bookings has never been easier with automatic calendar refresh, a simplified toolbar and enhanced features for your staff.

Turning on the new calendar:
- Open the Timely web app.
- Click the user menu (top-right corner).
- Toggle the "New Calendar" option.
- You can switch back at any time with the same toggle.
Features of the new calendar:
Bookings update automatically:
The new Timely calendar updates your bookings instantly, so your schedule is always up-to-date.This help you avoid double bookings and manage changes in real-time without needing to refresh your calendar manually.
Simplified Navigation:
Enjoy a cleaner layout, improved icons, and faster access to key Timely functions quicker, and navigate between bookings effortlessly.
Jump to the right date easily:
We’ve reduced the number of clicks needed in order to navigate to a particular date. We’ve also added more options to jump forward by a number of weeks so it’s much easier to get where you need.
Quickly add booking notes:
- Click on the appointment and you'll see a quick access menu
- Select 'add note'.
- Type what you need to remember for that client and click save.
Quick access tools in calendar settings:
- To see these, click the three dots in the top right of the calendar.
Easily add parallel bookings at busy times:
You can now view multiple bookings side-by-side in a single view, which helps manage overlapping appointments for multiple staff or services without confusion.
- To add a parallel booking, click the gap next to the client's booking at the time you want to make the appointment.
- Click add appointment details and then add in all the new appointment's details.
Staff columns refreshed:
Staff members' schedules are displayed more clearly with improved column layouts. This allows you to easily track team availability and optimise appointment slots. Staff columns now show your team's profile picture.
A new drop-down that allows you to:
- Edit staff working hours.
- Switch between day and week views.
- Edit staff profiles.
Keyboard Shortcuts:
There are several keyboard shortcuts you can use to quickly perform tasks. For example, hide client names and prices by pressing the ‘H’ key on your keyboard.

Icons improved for accessibility:
We’ve updated some of our icons to improve accessibility for vision impaired users. We’ve also added new icons to give you more information on bookings at a glance.

Why have you prioritised this work?
To keep our product up to date and performing at its best, we need to regularly upgrade our existing features. Our calendar supports over 70,000 users a day and these recent system upgrades will ensure you can schedule appointments and deliver incredible client experiences for years to come. We’re looking forward to collaborating with you on some new features now that this important work is rolling out.
Can I stay on the old calendar?
For now, yes you can. We know how jarring software changes can be, so we’re giving you plenty of time to familiarise yourself with the new calendar. You can switch between the old and new calendar by using the toggle at the bottom of the user menu at the top right of the Timely web app, and you may continue to do this for the next few months. Later this year we will be migrating all our customers over, but you’ll have ample notice of this change before it happens.
Why can't I book classes on the new calendar?
Classes are not supported in the new calendar currently. We recommend you to use the old calendar if you actively use this feature.
