If your staff have regularly scheduled time where they are not available, such as breaks or other commitments, you can add breaks to their working day; ensuring they are unable to be booked during this time. They will be automatically applied each day, for as long as you set them for. In this article, you will learn how to manage staff breaks.
How to add regular breaks to a team members work day

Head to setup from the main menu in your Timely account dashboard, and click on staff.

Click edit next to the staff member you want to add breaks for, then scroll down to the normal working hours section.

You can decide if you would like breaks to reset the online booking times when customers book online. To do this, check the box next to reset online booking times after a break.

If you have multiple locations, select the location you wish to add breaks to.

To add a break to a specific day, click the +break link. Type in the break name, which will be shown on the calendar.

Set the beginning and end times for the break.

When you are ready, click save to apply your changes.
Timely note: online bookings will be blocked during this period, but you can book over them using the Calendar if need be. A warning will appear if you try to do this, but you can ignore it.
How to update or reschedule a break in the calendar

Click on the break in the calendar, this will pop up a window that shows the current details of the break.

You can then update the break name, as well as the start and end times.

When you're ready, click save to update and return to the calendar.

This will only update that single break in the calendar. If you'd like to update the break time for every day, you can update this in the staff member's normal working hours.
How to remove a break from the calendar

Click on the break in the calendar, this will pop up a window that shows the details of the break.

Then, click the tick next to the break to remove it from that day.

Press save to update and return to the calendar.
