How to move from an existing loyalty system

Rewards make it easy for you to build strong and lasting relationships with your customers, by rewarding their loyalty to your business. Your customers will earn points based on their spend, and when enough points are earned, they will unlock the Rewards that you have set. In this guide you will learn how to move from an existing loyalty system, over to Timely.

Concession Cards

How to set your formula

If you want to match your current concession cards with Timely's system you can create a custom formula instead of using our pre-set formula. To do this:

 

1 Head to setup from the main menu in your Timely account dashboard, and then to rewards. From here, select create your own reward formula.

 

2 Now, you will need to work out how many points your clients need to earn and what they will be rewarded with. It is completely up to you to decide what will work for your business needs.

 

3 You will need to set a spend target, this is the number of visits multiplied by the average visit spend. For example, if your average spend is $60 and you currently reward your client after their 6th visit, then your spend target will be $360.

 

4 Once you've done this, you can then set your value of reward, this is the outcome of your spend target; that your client will receive. For example, if the client spends $360 they will be given a $20 reward to spend in your salon.

 

5 When you are ready, click save to complete setting up your formula. Now each time your customer visits and spends, they will collect points to earn their rewards.

 


 

 

How to phase our existing cards

You have a couple of options to phase out the existing concession cards:

 

A You can convert their existing concession cards into points. Each time your client brings in an existing card, you can update their points in Timely and get rid of that card. You can do this by editing their points balance. For example, if they’ve just had their third visit of five, you would add 150 points (3 x $50).

B Another option is to let your clients know you have a new Reward system, set an expiry for the old concession cards and honour their reward on the old concession card until the expiry date. That way, you can completely phase out existing cards from the set date.
