Sometimes your client database can end up with duplicates despite Timely's best efforts to prevent this. Fortunately, Timely makes it easy to identify and then merge duplicate client records. Merging profiles allows you to combine the appointment history of two clients into one! In this article, you will learn how to merge duplicate clients.
How to find duplicate clients?
There are two ways you can do this, either by searching in the customers tab in your Timely account, or through running the duplicate customer list report. Learn more about this in our help guide How to use the duplicate customer list report.
How to merge duplicate clients
When you are merging clients, there will be one primary customer and one secondary customer. The primary customer will be the record that will be kept and the contact details will be used for the merged customer record. The appointments, sales and notes for the secondary customer will be transferred to the primary customer, then the secondary customer's record is deleted.
