Promotions (often referred to as promo codes) are a great way to encourage bookings, from both new and existing client's. They support your business in generating revenue, and are a way to celebrate birthdays, recognise loyalty, and market service offerings. In this guide, you will learn more about promotion code rules. Timely note: applying a promotion code is only possible from the Timely desktop (web) application by clients when booking online or by staff from the calendar or at checkout. Promo codes are not able to be applied in iOS yet, but existing promotional codes applied in the web application to a booking may be checked out from the iOS application.

 

 

Promotion doe usage rules

The following usage rules can be configured for a promo code, here is what they mean for your business.
 

A Maximum per customer usage: you can specify the maximum number of redemptions a promo code can have for each unique client. Once the limit is reached the code can no longer be applied to a booking.

 

B Maximum total usage: you can specify the maximum number of redemptions a promo code can have. Once the limit is reached the code can no longer be applied to a booking.

 

C Minimum spend: you can specify the minimum amount spent in services a booking must have for a promo code to be applied. If the booking does not meet this value, then the promo code will not apply the discount.

 

D Maximum total discount amount (optional): you can specify the maximum amount in discounts provided before the code expires i.e. promo code "name here" gives 25% off until $1,000 worth of discounts is incurred by the business against that code.

 

 

Promotion code applies to rules

The following applies to rules can be configured for a promo code, here is what they mean for your business.

 

A Specific staff: you can specify if this promo code is available to service provided by all staff or specific staff only.

 

B Specific customers: you can specify if this promo code is available to all customers or VIP customers only.

 

C Specific services: you can specify if this promo code is available to all services or specific services only.

 

D Specific service groups: you can specify if this promo code is available to all service groups or specific service groups only.
