With Tap to Pay on iPhone in the Timely iOS app, you can accept contactless payments in-salon using just your iPhone XS or newer — no extra hardware or terminals needed! Important note: Tap to Pay on iPhone is currently available in Australia, New Zealand, the Republic of Ireland, the UK, and the US.
Timely note: you can accept payments from physical debit and credit cards, Apple & Google Pay, and other digital wallets. These payments all go directly through the Timely app, this means the transaction fees are the same as using a TimelyPay terminal. You can see information about specific rates for your region, in our web page here.
Pre-set up checklist
Make sure you have updated the Timely app
Open the App Store.
Click on your profile icon in the top right.
Scroll down and check for updates.
If Timely needs updating, click to update.
Make sure you have updated your iOS to the latest version
Go to settings > general > about.
Ensure your iPhone is running on the latest version of iOS.
If not, update via settings > general > software update.
Enable automatic updates and install iOS updates.
Make sure you have activated TimelyPay
