Q. Where will my verification code be sent?
A. Your code will be sent to the Timely email address you used to log in with.
Q. Does my verification code expire? How quickly will I have to enter it in?
A. Your code will expire in 30 minutes. Please enter it into Timely to verify your account before it expires.
Q. What if I don't receive my verification code or I can’t access my emails to get the code, will I be able to log in some other way?
A. If you haven’t received a code, feel free to try logging in again to resend the email. If you don’t receive the email or can't access your emails, you’ll need to get in touch with our support team.
Q. I received a verification email, but I wasn't trying to log in. What does this mean?
A. This email means our security system is working correctly to protect your account. It has detected a login attempt from an unrecognised device or location and successfully blocked it.
While Timely has kept your account safe, we strongly recommend you reset your password and enable 2FA as a precaution.
Q. If I have 2FA enabled, why am I being asked for another code?
A. SMS two-factor authentication (2FA) is designed to confirm that it’s really you logging in. Sometimes, when we notice a sign-in from a new device, location, or something that looks unusual, we’ll ask you to complete an additional quick check. In these cases, you may be asked for both:
- Your SMS 2FA code (to prove it’s you)
- A verification code sent to your email (to confirm the device or location you’re signing in from is trusted)
Q. Can I log in without needing to enter a code if I use the web browser on my phone?
A. You may be asked to enter a verification code on any new device or browser, including your phone, to ensure that it is a trusted device.
